I am 28 years old from Israel. My life failed totaly, and in age of 27 i began a new one. In my new life, I want to fulfil the childhood dreams of being a truck driver. I want to be a truck driver in Canada or the US, as in 18 wos.
Been to an immigration to Canada office in Tel Aviv (I'm from Israel). The consultant told me that there is a driving school in Winnipeg in which prices are relatively low, in which I might transfer my Israelian category B licence to a Canadian semi trailer licence in 3 months. She tells that it that school, there are some work exhibitions, in which empolyees look for workers. She tells that with a Canadian licence, taking me as a woker there can be really a piece of a cake. And that, I may have an advantage over the Canadian counterparts- as a lot of them have families and may find it hard to leave theirs for long periods of time as the job demands. But I'm a single, so I will happily agree to roam anywhere they told me.
But some say that in Canada there are lots of immigrants who will happyly agree to work as a truck drivers even below minimum wage.
Also, the prices for this thing is about 10k canadian dollars and another 10k for the immigration office to help me fit in the country as a permanent residence. What do you guys say? can i do it alone? and what about the demand for truck drivers?
Seems like I'm the only truck-gaming adore from north Israel!
