Hi guys, I think I am getting a laptop for Christmas which I chose with Windows 7 and a ATi Radeon 4200M graphichs card. Is it possible to play a game that requires Windows XP / Vista on a Windows 7 operating system? This is the laptop I hope to get: h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/uk/en/ho/WF06b/321957-321957-3329742-89318-89318-3938633-4036082.htmlWould like it to run German Truck Simulator most, but Euro Truck Sim and Extreme Trucker too. Will the ATi Radeon graphics card play these truck simulators well (i.e - smoothly etc)? More importantly, I suppose I could just try the demo's and see if they work? Thanks! |

well guess wat u wopnt be gettin it before christmas cuz if ur goin thru dell then they r havin problems puttin windows 7 on teh laptops cuz my mom ordered a laptop nov 23rd and still has not gotten it

Well there are no problems with Windows 7, I have it, and Haulin and many other games are running perfectly so no issues here about Windows 7

well my mom ordered a dell laptop thru purchasing power and they told her that windows 7 was havin a problem wen they install it

Well mine is HP Compaq so got nothing to worry about then have I? Thanks Tom. so it seems alright on the Widnows 7 front!  What about the graphics card then? |

i wouldnt kno cuz if dell is havin problems then hp should also cuz thee both the same intel

Anyway, I really don't believe that it depends on the manufacturer if you can install Windows 7 or not. From my own personal experience I have to say that HP's quality and reliability is quite awful. Dell on the other hand is much more reliable. |
