I launched this topic is to promote a community initiative running on Facebook at the moment:
As the title suggests, the Classic Vehicle DLC group is trying to gather supporters to convince SCS to create a couple of older trucks for ETS2, and release them in a paid DLC. By "old", we mean models built between 1980-2005, like the Scania 143, the DAF XF 95, the MAN F2000, the Magnum AE Integral, the Iveco Turbo Star, or the Volvo F12 just to name a few.
If you agree with the initiative, please like our group, and send some e-mails or forum comments to the devs. It would be a blast to see some classics on the roads of Europe in ETS2... If you don't have a FB account or don't like FB, but would send an e-mail or forum post in this topic, I would be more than happy to copy the example e-mails/comments for you below.
The idea is perfect. I think about this always. The mods are all good, ok and thanks so much to the creators of them. But to have these truck originally in the game, without any problem and crashes and as detailed as the original ones, it would be a dream...
For example, if there would be an IVECO EUROSTAR or an old ACTROS MP1 in the game, I would never stop playing it.. It's a dream...
And it would be much more realistic to start your career with a used old truck and go on...
That's a nice idea, but I don't think they'll ever have time to do something like that... They are already working on some updates for ETS2, and apparently also on a bus simulator and a new American truck simulator as well.
Oggich: As far as i see from the map and the rumors; Mack dealers are in Pendelton and Yakima in Washington and Sacramento in Cali. IDK,haven't driven there yet so i can't tell you much
